What you will learn
This guide covers how to design and deploy digital loyalty passes, including visual branding, field mapping for real-time point balances, and generating the "Add to Wallet" triggers for App and Web channels.
Prerequisites
- Access: Ensure you have Admin or Owner privileges in the TRIFFT Cockpit to access Channel Settings and Certificate management.
- Certificates: Obtain a Pass Type ID certificate (.p12) from your Apple Developer account to enable Apple Wallet signing.
- Credentials: Ensure you have the Google Wallet API enabled and service account keys ready for Google Wallet integration.
- Assets: Prepare a high-contrast logo (PNG) and a background image or strip image optimized for wallet pass dimensions.
Configuration checklist
- Certificate Validity: Certificates are uploaded correctly and are not nearing expiration.
- Field Mapping: Real-time data like "Point Balance" correctly populates and updates on the pass.
- Scanner Compatibility: The pass barcode scans successfully on your physical POS hardware.
- Translation Audit: Labels on the pass back (info section) and front are correctly localized.
- Visual Contrast: Label colors provide enough contrast against the background for readability in bright store environments.
- Deep Link Verification: "Add to Wallet" buttons are visible and functional across both iOS and Android browsers.
