- Locale Expansion: Adding and activating new supported languages as the loyalty program scales to new regions.
- Global Label Maintenance: Updating system-wide UI text, such as button labels, wallet headers, and error messages.
- Content Synchronization: Ensuring localized versions of News, Deals, and Pages are updated whenever the primary language version changes.
- Fallback Logic Optimization: Managing the default project language to ensure members see a valid version if a specific translation is missing.
Action description (Example: Updating Global Labels and Content Translations)
- Navigate to Global Translations: Log in to the TRIFFT Cockpit and go to Settings > Translations to manage system UI text.
- Search and Edit Labels: Use the search bar to locate specific keys (e.g., "History," "Points," or "Login") and provide updated text for all active languages.
- Access Marketing Content: Navigate to Content > News or Deals and select the specific asset requiring a translation update.
- Open the Translations Tab: Within the content editor, click the Translations tab at the top of the page.
- Input Localized Text: Select the target language and update the Title, Lead Text, and Body Content to match the latest campaign messaging.
- Validate Personalization Tokens: Ensure that tokens like
{{member.first_name}}are correctly placed and formatted within each translated version. - QA and Formatting Preview: Toggle between languages in the preview pane to ensure that text length (e.g., longer German strings) does not break the UI layout.
- Save and Confirm: Click Save Changes and verify the updates on the Mobile App or Web Portal across different language settings.
Ongoing management checklist
- Translation Parity: Every time a News or Deal item is edited in the primary language, the corresponding translations are reviewed and updated.
- Token Consistency: Personalization tokens and deep links are verified to be functional in all translated versions.
- UI/UX Fit: System labels and button text are checked for length to ensure they do not overflow or overlap in the mobile interface.
- Fallback Verification: The "Default Language" is confirmed as the correct fallback for locales that are not yet fully translated.
- Legal Accuracy: Localized versions of legal pages (T&Cs, Privacy) are updated simultaneously with the primary versions to maintain compliance.
- Communication Templates: Push notification and email subjects/bodies are localized for all active member segments.
