Wallets FAQ

Here are the frequently asked questions regarding TRIFFT Wallets and the management of earn/burn policies:

1. How can I exclude taxes or shipping costs from earning points?

In the Wallet Settings, you can configure specific Exclusion Rules. This allows the system to calculate points based only on the net product subtotal, automatically ignoring non-eligible amounts like VAT, shipping fees, or specific product categories.

2. Is it possible to give VIP members a higher point-earning rate?

Absolutely. You can set up Tier-Based Multipliers within your earn rules. For instance, while a standard member might earn 1 point per €1 spent, you can configure a "Gold Tier" to automatically earn 1.5 or 2 points for the same transaction.

3. How does the system handle point expiration?

You can define a Validity Period (e.g., 12 months) and choose the trigger—either from the date the points were earned or based on the member’s last activity. Once this threshold is reached, the points are automatically "burned" from the wallet to manage the program's financial liability.

4. How do I ensure I don’t run out of unique codes for point redemptions?

When setting up a "Burn Rule" (such as a reward or voucher), you link it to a Coupon Pool. The Cockpit monitors the stock of unique codes in that pool; if it runs low, you can upload a new CSV of codes directly to the pool to keep redemptions flowing without interruption.

5. Can I manually add points to a member's account for customer service reasons?

Yes. In the Support Center, authorized users can locate a member's profile and perform a manual adjustment. To keep your books clean, the system requires a Reason Code (e.g., "Birthday Bonus" or "Service Recovery") for every manual add or subtract action.
