Wallets Set Up

This guide covers the technical configuration of TRIFFT Wallets. Note: This refers to the loyalty engine (earn/burn rules), not Apple/Google mobile passes.


Prerequisites

Admin or CRM Lead role required — Ensure you have the 'Admin' or 'CRM Lead' role in the TRIFFT Cockpit.

Before you begin, gather the following:

IntegrationsShopify/POS sync for transaction data.

Step-by-step setup

1. Open the Wallets panel

  • Navigate to Loyalty > Wallets in the TRIFFT Cockpit.

2. Create a new wallet

  • Click Create New Wallet and define the Wallet Name (e.g., Main Points or VIP Credits).

3. Set the base earning rule

  • Define the Base Earning Rule to determine how many points are awarded per unit of currency spent.

4. Configure earning exceptions

  • Add Earning Exceptions for specific product categories or SKUs that are excluded from points or offer multipliers.

5. Define burning rules

  • Set the Burning Rules to establish the redemption value (e.g., 100 points = $1 discount).

6. Set point expiry logic

  • Choose the Point Expiry logic: Fixed Date, Rolling Window, or Never.

7. Configure wallet limits

  • Set Wallet Limits for maximum points a user can earn per day or transaction to prevent fraud.

8. Final validation

  • Save and perform a Dry Run transaction to verify point calculation logic.

Configuration checklist

Run through this checklist before going live:

Sustainability & Logic

  • Conversion ratio (Earn vs. Burn) is mathematically sustainable
  • Round-up/down logic for partial points is defined
  • Wallet is correctly linked to the active Member Tier structure

Technical Settings

  • Tax/Shipping exclusion settings are correctly toggled
  • Expiry notifications are scheduled in the Automations tab
