Other functions covered

  • Adding New Locales: Expanding the program to support new regions.
  • Editing Existing Translations: Updating content in News, Deals, or Pages for tone or accuracy.
  • Standardizing System Labels: Managing global UI text like "Points" or "Login".
  • Auditing Missing Content: Identifying strings that lack localization in specific languages.

Action description (Example: Adding and Localizing a New Language)

  1. Navigate to Project Settings: Log in to the TRIFFT Cockpit and go to Settings > Project Settings.
  2. Add Locale: Click Add Language and choose the target locale from the standardized list.
  3. Define Primary Language: Ensure your main language is marked as "Default" to provide a fallback for missing translations.
  4. Select Content Module: Navigate to Content (News, Deals, or Pages) to begin localizing specific marketing assets.
  5. Configure Localized Content: Open a published item and select the Translations tab. Enter the localized Title, Lead Text, and Body.
  6. Set UI Label Translations: Go to Settings > Translations to define how system-wide buttons and headers appear in the new language.
  7. Add Testing Steps: Use the in-app preview or a staging member profile with the new language preference to verify text alignment.
  8. Enable and Confirm: Once audit is complete, ensure the new language is toggled to Active and confirm visibility on the Mobile App or Web Portal.

Ongoing management checklist

  • Translation Sync: Verify that updates made in the Cockpit appear in the App/Portal across all devices.
  • Character Limit Audit: Ensure localized text (especially in German or French) does not break UI layouts on smaller screens.
  • Default Fallback: Check that the default language renders correctly when a specific translation is intentionally omitted.
  • Legal Consistency: Confirm that translated Pages (T&Cs) are updated simultaneously across all languages to maintain compliance.
  • Label Accuracy: Periodically review System Labels to ensure consistency in terminology (e.g., using "Points" vs. "Credits" globally).
