Mobile App FAQ
Here are the frequently asked questions regarding the Mobile App channel in TRIFFT:
1. What elements of the mobile app can I customize in the TRIFFT Cockpit?
You have extensive control over the visual identity and user journey within the app. From the Cockpit, you can customize the Splash Screen, Onboarding Screens, App Welcome Screen, and the Homepage layout. Additionally, you can manage dynamic components like Header and Footer Widgets to ensure the app remains aligned with your current branding and marketing campaigns.
2. How do I send push notifications to my app users?
Push notifications are managed through the Integrations module, often leveraging Bloomreach or direct connections to Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can create automated or manual campaigns in the Cockpit, target specific member segments, and include deep links that take users directly to a specific reward or news article when the notification is tapped.
3. Can I update the app’s content without requiring a new store submission?
Yes. One of the primary advantages of the TRIFFT native mobile app is the ability to perform Instant Updates. When you modify a news article, a deal, or a UI widget in the Cockpit, those changes are pushed to the member's app in real-time. This allows you to launch new campaigns or fix content errors immediately without waiting for App Store or Play Store approval cycles.
4. How does the Mobile App interact with the Digital Wallet channel?
The mobile app acts as the primary hub for a member's loyalty experience, but it is fully integrated with the Digital Wallet. Members can view their digital card within the app and easily "Add to Wallet" (Apple or Google) for quick access at physical point-of-sale locations. Points and tier statuses are synchronized in real-time across both the app and the wallet card.
5. What tracking and analytics are available for the mobile app?
TRIFFT allows you to monitor user engagement through Tracking Consent management and integrations with tools like GA4 (Google Analytics 4) via Google Tag Manager. You can track how members interact with specific app sections, which push notifications drive the most opens, and how many redemptions are completed directly through the mobile interface.
6. What are the deep links and how to use them?
The mobile app mirrors URLs from the client zone. Once you've installed your and are logged in, the links will open directly in the app.
For example: https://yourclientzone.trifftloyalty.com/card
This link will take you straight to the "card" screen in the mobile app. If the app isnt installed, the same link will open in the standard client zone in the browser - this is the intended behavior
