Consents FAQ

Here are the frequently asked questions regarding the management of Consents within the TRIFFT Cockpit:

1. What types of consents can I configure in my loyalty project?

TRIFFT allows you to manage two primary types of consents: Legal Consents (such as Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy) and Marketing Consents (such as Email, SMS, or Push Notifications). You can define whether each consent is Mandatory for account creation or Optional, allowing members to opt-in at their own pace.

2. Can I make a consent mandatory only for specific member actions?

Yes. While some consents are required for the initial registration, others can be linked to specific features. For example, you can require a "Marketing Consent" before a member is allowed to claim a high-value "Private Deal" or join a specific VIP tier, ensuring your data collection aligns with the value provided to the member.

3. How are consent changes synchronized with tools like Klaviyo or Bloomreach?

TRIFFT acts as the "Source of Truth" for loyalty-related consents. When a member toggles their marketing preferences in the Mobile App or Web Portal, the change is pushed in near real-time to your integrated platforms. This prevents "emailing the unsubscribed" and ensures your cross-channel marketing remains GDPR/CCPA compliant.

4. How can I audit exactly when a member accepted or revoked a consent?

Every consent action is logged within the member’s profile in the Support Center. You can view a timestamped history of every "Opt-in" and "Opt-out" event. This audit trail is essential for legal compliance, providing a permanent record of the member's choices and the specific version of the Terms they accepted.

5. What happens if I update my Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy?

When you update a legal document, you can trigger a Consent Reset or a re-acceptance prompt. The next time a member opens the Mobile App or logs into the Web Portal, they will be presented with the updated terms and must provide a fresh consent before they can continue using the loyalty features.
