Web Pop-Up Widget FAQ

Here are the frequently asked questions regarding the Web Pop-Up Widget channel in TRIFFT:

1. What triggers can I use to show a pop-up to my website visitors?

You can choose from three primary behavioral triggers to ensure the widget appears at the right moment:

  • Timer: Displays after the user has spent a specific number of seconds on the page.
  • Scroll Depth: Appears once the user has scrolled through a certain percentage of the content.
  • Exit Intent: Triggers when the system detects the user is about to leave the site (e.g., moving the cursor toward the browser's close button).

2. Can I target specific loyalty segments with these pop-ups?

Yes. One of the strongest features of the TRIFFT widget is its integration with your member data. You can set Targeting Rules so that only specific segments (e.g., "Members with Points Expiring" or "VIP Tier") see the widget. You can also set it to show only to anonymous "Guests" to encourage sign-ups.

3. How do I prevent "pop-up fatigue" for my customers?

You can manage this through Frequency Capping settings. This allows you to define how often a widget is shown to the same user—for example, "Once per session," "Every 24 hours," or "Only once ever." This ensures a balance between visibility and a smooth user experience.

4. Can I restrict the widget to only appear on specific pages?

Absolutely. Using URL Targeting, you can define rules to include or exclude specific pages. For instance, you might want a "Free Shipping" reminder to appear only on the Cart page or a "Welcome Offer" to show up exclusively on the Home page.

5. What happens when a member clicks the button on the widget?

The button can be configured with a Deep Link. This can take the user to a specific Deal for immediate redemption, a static Page (like your program's "How it Works" guide), or any external URL. If the user is logged in, the link can even lead them directly to their personalized Wallet in the Web Portal.
