Other functions covered

  • Filter Logic Optimization: Refining criteria to capture more specific or broader member groups.
  • Audience Size Monitoring: Periodically calculating counts to ensure segments aren't empty or overly saturated.
  • Sync Reliability Management: Ensuring segment membership is accurately mirrored in Klaviyo or Bloomreach.
  • Public Segment Maintenance: Updating the naming and translations for segments visible to members.
  • Lifecycle Archiving: Deactivating "One-off" or campaign-specific segments to keep the workspace clean.

Action description (Example: Auditing and Refining a Dynamic Segment)

  1. Navigate to Segments: Log in to the TRIFFT Cockpit and go to Audience > Segments.
  2. Select Segment for Review: Choose an existing segment (e.g., "Inactive VIPs") to audit its current logic.
  3. Audit Filter Groups: Review the current Attribute, Behavioral, or Transactional filters to see if they still align with your campaign goals.
  4. Update Logic Parameters: Adjust operators (e.g., changing "Last Purchase > 30 days" to "> 60 days") or add new AND/OR conditions.
  5. Calculate Audience Size: Click the Update Count button to verify how many members currently meet the new criteria.
  6. Manage Visibility: Verify if the segment is Private (internal CRM) or Public (member-facing preference); update the localization if it is public.
  7. Add Testing Steps: Spot-check individual member profiles to ensure they are correctly tagged (or not tagged) by the segment logic.
  8. Enable / Save and Confirm: Click Save. If the segment is synced to an integration, trigger a manual push to update the external list immediately.

Ongoing management checklist

  • Dynamic Integrity: Confirm that Dynamic segments are refreshing automatically as member behaviors change.
  • Naming Convention: Ensure internal names remain descriptive (e.g., including the date or specific threshold) for easy team collaboration.
  • Integration Parity: Check that segment counts in TRIFFT roughly match the list/segment sizes in Klaviyo or Bloomreach.
  • Null Value Handling: Verify that filters correctly account for members with missing data to avoid accidental exclusion.
  • Translation Sync: For Public segments, ensure the display name is updated in all active languages after any name change.
  • Redundancy Audit: Delete segments that have "0" members for over 90 days or were created for past, non-recurring promotions.
