What each system does

  • TRIFFT: Manages the core loyalty engine, including member points balances, tier progression, reward/coupon generation, and the native app/web member portals.
  • Klaviyo: Acts as the orchestration layer for communication, using loyalty signals to power personalized email/SMS flows, segmentation, and data-driven marketing automation.

What data moves between systems

  • TRIFFT → Klaviyo: Real-time sync of member properties (points balance, tier name, referral URL) and event metrics (Tier Upgraded, Points Earned, Voucher Claimed).
  • Klaviyo → TRIFFT: Klaviyo uses TRIFFT’s deep links to direct members to specific deals or news articles within the mobile app or web portal.
  • Surfaces: Automated Email, SMS, and Push notifications powered by Klaviyo logic, driving traffic to the TRIFFT App and Web Portal.

Typical rollout plan

  1. Connect the integration: Input your Klaviyo API keys in the TRIFFT Cockpit and verify that member identifiers (emails) match across both platforms.
  2. Pick 3 lifecycle moments: * Welcome Flow: Send a "Welcome to the Program" email with the member's current point balance.
    • Tier-Up: Trigger an celebratory SMS or email the moment a member reaches a new tier.
    • Points Expiring: Remind members to spend their points 14 days before they lapse.
  3. Launch with guardrails: Set frequency caps in Klaviyo to ensure members aren't over-communicated with, and exclude specific segments from redundant flows.
  4. Review and iterate: Monitor open and redemption rates weekly in both the Klaviyo Dashboard and TRIFFT Analytics to optimize your messaging strategy.
