Texts and Translations Overview
The Texts and Translations function is TRIFFT’s centralized localization engine, allowing administrators to manage all user-facing labels, system messages, and UI text across mobile apps, web portals, and digital wallet cards. This capability primarily supports the Onboarding and Retention stages of the lifecycle by ensuring the program is accessible in the member's preferred language and that brand terminology is consistent across every digital touchpoint.
Why it matters
| Impact Area | Business Value |
|---|---|
| Revenue | Improves conversion rates in multi-lingual markets by removing language barriers that prevent users from understanding how to earn or redeem value. |
| Efficiency | Eliminates the need for developer code changes to update simple UI text or system labels; marketing teams can modify wording directly in the Cockpit. |
| Customer Experience | Ensures brand consistency by allowing you to rename standard terms (e.g., changing "Points" to "Star-Credits") across all channels simultaneously. |
Risk if ignored — Inconsistent or untranslated labels (e.g., an English error message in a Spanish app) create a fragmented user experience, reducing trust and program participation.
Example use cases
- Multi-Lingual Rollouts — Launch a single loyalty program across different regions (e.g., German, French, and English) with localized content for each.
- Brand Voice Alignment — Customize default system labels like "Scan your card" to match your brand's unique tone of voice (e.g., "Ready for your daily treat?").
- Wallet Pass Localization — Set specific translations for Apple Wallet pass fields such as "Points Balance," "Member Name," and "Card Description" to ensure clarity in the native wallet app.
- Dynamic Language Selection — Automatically display the app in the language corresponding to the user's device settings or a manually selected preference.
How to measure success
Key Performance Indicators
- Primary KPI: Language Adoption Rate (Percentage of users using the app in non-default languages).
- Secondary KPIs: Reduction in "Program Confusion" support tickets and higher engagement rates in localized segments.
Governance & Operations
- Guardrails: Regularly audit "Missing Translations" to ensure new features don't default to the system language for international users.
- Suggested review cadence: Monthly for multi-regional programs or whenever a new feature is launched.
