Coupons FAQ
Q: Can a customer use a coupon multiple times?
A: By default, no. However, in the Coupon Pool settings, you can toggle 'Reusable' to 'Yes' if the offer is intended for multiple redemptions.
Q: Is there a point cost for coupons?
A: This is optional. You can set 'Points Required' to 0 for a free gift, or 500 points to make the user 'buy' the discount.
Q: I created the coupon, but I can't see it in the list of all coupons. What can be an issue?
A: There are several possible reasons, for example:
- Your project's General Settings require all coupons to use coupon codes, but this coupon has no coupon codes assigned.
- The coupon requires specific consent, but the Member has not provided that consent.
- The coupon's Display From date is set in the future.
- The Member does not belong to the segment assigned to the coupon.
- The Active option is not enabled in the coupon settings.
Q: Why do coupons display the “Ending soon” ribbon, and can I change it?
A: The ribbon is controlled by the Threshold to Display Ribbon project setting. It defines how many seconds before a coupon expires the ribbon should appear. For example:
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
2592000 seconds | 30 days |
432000 seconds | 5 days |
0 | The ribbon is disabled |
If the threshold is set to 30 days, every coupon expiring within the next 30 days will display the ribbon, including newly added or currently locked coupons scheduled to be valid in the future.
Q: How are coupons ordered, and can their priority be changed?
A: Coupons are first divided into two sections: Pinned coupons and Unpinned coupons
The pinned section is always displayed above the unpinned section.
Within each section, coupons are ordered by their Valid From date and time. Coupons with a later Valid From value are displayed higher, while coupons with an earlier value are displayed lower.
To control the order, adjust the Valid From time. Even a one-second difference can be used, for example:
- 00:00:01 — displayed higher
- 00:00:00 — displayed lower
There is currently no separate priority setting. Coupon order can only be controlled through Pin and Valid From.
Q: How can I stop new members from activating a coupon without removing it from members who already activated it?
A: For pool coupons distributed through a segment, simply remove all assigned segments so that the coupon shows 0 members selected.
Members who have already activated the coupon will keep it because it is already linked directly to their profile. Members who have not activated it will no longer see it or be able to activate it.
